Suncoast Aqua Ventures' Reef & Beach Cleanup was a HUGE Success!

TOTALS ARE IN AND THEY ARE IMPRESSIVE!!!

Total debris removed from our local waters was $18,896 lbs!!!!!
Nearly double our results from last year!!

Here is the breakdown:

138 abandoned anchors were retrieved
Weight of anchors: 1,490 lbs
Rope and fishing tackle: 1,147 lbs
Chain and other metals: 1,970 lbs
Recyclables; bottles/cans/plastic: 949 lbs
Non reclable trash:13,340 lbs

TOTAL COLLECTED 18,896 lbs (over 9 tons!!!)

Total participants 168
Total man hours spent collecting trash 400+
